On 28 November, 2019, a round table meeting was held at the Gödör Event Hall, with the title: The effects of domestic violence on school performance. One of the speakers invited to this discussion was Dr. Balla Annamária, clinical psychologist and lecturer at the Emanuel University of Oradea, who detailed the impact that domestic violence can have on students' lives and school performance. The specialist spoke about the manifestations of domestic violence, as well as the signs that show us that a child is a victim of domestic violence or, possibly, a witness.
The psychologist's presentation was followed by Mirela Tonceanu from the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC), who shared her experiences with the participants and presented the new project called VENUS - Together for a safe life! This project was carried out in collaboration with the National Agency for Equal Opportunities (ANES) with the main objective of promoting social inclusion and combating poverty. The organization provides specific assistance to this target group by providing social, medical, professional and training services, as appropriate.

One of the main objectives of the national measures and services of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Bihor for preventing and combating domestic violence is to support the development of sheltered housing and improve the national network of professional counseling to protect victims of violence and, last but not least, violence. in family. and organizing and implementing campaigns to combat it. Vura Ottilia, the program coordinator at the Lampas Foundation, presented the services offered by this organization, such as psychological, social and legal counseling.

At the end of the event, the 45 pedagogues present had the opportunity to ask the professionals or share their difficulties in the field. There were questions and comments from the participants, which proves that the training was useful and that each participant received practical information that can be incorporated into the daily pedagogical activity.
